Purpose

On 28
August 2025 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed all Community
Chest applications received between 7 July 2025 and 7 August
2025.
 
Three
applications were brought forward in
‘Appendix A’ of the meeting reports pack.
 
After
consideration of the application, the Committee recommended to the
Lead Cabinet Member for Resources that:
 

1.    
St Mary's Church, Over (HNVGJWLX) is not funded, please see
below.
 

2.    
Lolworth Parish Meeting (TTTJQSPH) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £347.39
 

3.    
Teversham Parish Council (LDMLWBRD) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £2,000.
 
 
 
As per
above, the application from St Mary's Church, Over (HNVGJWLX) is
not funded until the relevant planning permission and agreement
from the Diocese of Ely is obtained for the restoration work to be
undertaken. If these permissions have already been sought, then the
application is recommended to be approved and funded at the full
amount requested of £2,000.

Reasons for the decision

The
applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory
Committee and there is sufficient budget available.

Alternative options considered

To
reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee
and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be
awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is
required from grant applicants.
 
Rejected as the applications met the criteria and there was
sufficient funding.
