Purpose

The
Community Chest Grant application from Lolworth Parish Meeting
(TTTJQSPH) was
presented at the
August 28 Grants Advisory Committee (GAC) meeting and the
£347.39 requested for a Basketball Hoop &
Stand System and sand was approved by the
Lead Cabinet Member for Resources.
 
Following the award, the applicant notified the Council of an
additional delivery charge of £53.89 from the supplier. The
Lead Cabinet Member for Resources has agreed that this additional
cost can also be covered by the grant.
 
For
transparency and completeness, the application will be brought to
the October GAC meeting for information.

Reasons for the decision

The
request was considered in detail by the Lead Cabinet Member for
Resources and there is sufficient budget available.

Alternative options considered

To
reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee
and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be
awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is
required from grant applicants.
