Purpose

On 29
January 2026 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed all Community
Chest applications received between 27 November 2025 and 7 January
2026.
 
Three
applications were brought forward in
‘Appendix A’ of the meeting reports pack.
 
After
consideration of the application, the Committee recommended to the
Lead Cabinet Member for Resources that:
 

1.    
Little Shelford Cricket Club (CGNBMPDK) be approved and funded at the full amount
requested of £1,440
 

2.    
Fen Drayton Village Hall (CZVZJZJM) be approved and funded at the full amount
requested of £1,936.80
 

3.    
Papworth Team Ministry (JZMFNZKN) be approved and funded at the full amount
requested of £618.72.

accept the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee (see
above).

Reasons for the decision

The
applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory
Committee and there is sufficient budget available.

Alternative options considered

To
reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee
and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be
awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is
required from grant applicants.
