Purpose

On 22 February 2024 the Grants
Advisory Committee reviewed all Community Chest applications
received between 7 January 2024 and 7 February 2024.
 
Four applications were brought
forward in
‘Appendix A’ of the meeting reports pack.
 
After consideration of these
applications, the Committee recommended to the Lead Cabinet Member
for Resources that:
 
1.   
1st Cambourne Scout Group
(CNXFFJJL) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of £2,000

 
2.   
CamCare UK (VKHVHFLF) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of £2,000
 

 
3.   
Hardwick Pre-School (NHLSTMSR) be approved and funded at the full amount requested of
£2,000

 
4.    
Girton Local Nature Recovery Plan
Group (GHRCJLKF) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of
£2,000.

To accept the recommendations
of the Grants Advisory Committee (see above). In reference to the
application from CamCare UK, where
Dr. Shrobona Bhattacharya is a trustee,
a copy of the charity’s constitution is attached to this
decision notice.
In
reference to the application from Hardwick Pre-School, assurance
will need to be sought from the headteacher of the Primary school
whereby if they are to become an Academy school in the future, the
Pre-school would still be able to operate on school
premises.
