Purpose

The
purpose of this decision is to agree minor amendments to the
Statement of Community Involvement. The amended document was
submitted to Stephen Kelly – Director of GCSP for approval
which was received in 13/10/2023. Councillor Dr.Tumi Hawkins was
cc’d in the email and provided no comment objecting to the
amendments. The amendments include the following changes to the
document:

Minor amendments to the grammar;

·        
Minor amendments to typos;

·        
Minor amendments to the spelling of Covid-19 for
consistency;

·        
Introduction section was simplified;

·        
The section about ‘Early developer
engagement’ was strengthened, highlighting that developers
should be engaging with communities before pre-app to ensure
communities have early say in the preparation of the proposal and
overcome local concerns;

·        
3.30-3.31 – Was made clearer that not all
engagement is online and people can
engage in non-digital ways;

·        
4.25 – the last line was amended to be
consistent in wording when providing a link to external
documents

·        
Appendix 5 - Lead Local Flood Authority was added in
and other internal area services were added; and

·        
S106 section was simplified.
