Decision

To accept the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee (see above).  With regards to the application from TLC:Talk Listen Change, funding is approved subject to the condition that the grant is used solely for the benefit of South Cambridgeshire residents. The applicant must also ensure that the support available through the project is promoted locally within South Cambridgeshire. In addition, a progress report must be provided six months after the funding is awarded.

Reasons for the decision

The applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory Committee and there is sufficient budget available.

Alternative options considered

To reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is required from grant applicants.

As per above, the application from Northstowe Cricket Club (CVVXKFLV) requesting £2,000 has been deferred, pending more detail on how thewomen’s cricket team will be financed in the future if funding is awarded from the Community Chest and whether Northstowe Town Council could be approached for a funding contribution.
