Purpose

The purpose of this decision is to approve the distribution of the grant from the Homes England funded Community Activation Fund to the applicant Northstowe Church Network (NCN). NCN to be awarded £200. This is to support their Hot Chocolate, Beer and Carols event. This award is made in accordance with the process for administration of the Community Activation Fund, approved by Cabinet, 16 April 2024, which requires application assessment by a joint Homes England/SCDC officer panel, followed by a COO decision.

Decision

The award of £200 to Northstowe Church Network is approved.

Reasons for the decision

The project application fully satisfied the required assessment criteria.

Alternative options considered

Option 1: To refuse the application. This was rejected because the application satisfied the agreed criteria. The application scored highly on officer panel assessment.

Option 2: To partially fund the application. This was refused because the applicant only applied for a small proportion of the costs associated with the event and there were sufficient funds available.
