Purpose

On
29th of August 2024 the Grants Advisory Committee
reviewed all the applications to the Long
Term Condition activity grant fund for 2024/25.
 
Nine
applications were brought forward in
‘Appendix A’ of the meeting reports
pack. In line with the report recommendations, the GAC recommended
that the following applications be awarded
funding:
 

Cambs
Pilates (LHVJGDKV)be approved and partially funded
an amount of £1,100.

 

Imagination Dance CIC (FCVXPLBJ) be approved and
partially funded an amount of £1,200.

 

Active
with Parkinson’s (VBLFLRQQ) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £2,000.

 

Let’s Run Girls (VMLSJPVL) be approved and partially
funded an amount of £750.

 

Cambridge Cancer Help Centre (XDCLZJQF) be approved and funded
at the full amount requested of £2,000.

 

My
Yoga Corner (NSHGMZMM) be approved and partially funded an amount
of £1,040.

 

HI
Friends (CRSRXGBZ) be approved and partially funded an amount of
£1,250.

 
 
In line
with the recommendation in the report, the following applications
were not recommended for funding as they were not compliant with
the criteria for the grant scheme:
 

Emmanuela Carinci (LPGDQMGH)
Amor
Training (TRPGXBGC)

 

Content

To
accept the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee (see
above).

Reasons for the decision

The
applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory
Committee. The additional £340 of funding beyond the
£9,000 ringfenced for the grant will, as per the proposal in
the report, be granted from the already allocated and available
budget for physical activity for 2024/25.

Alternative options considered

To
reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee
and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be
awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is
required from grant applicants.
