Purpose

To
agree the terms of the disposal of the land and to agree to open a
12-month bidding process by which it may be allocated to an
eligible group.
The
public report will include an appendix providing the red book
valuation of the faith/community land in Phase 1 at Northstowe. The
appendix is therefore exempt from publication by virtue of
paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as
amended) (Information relating to the financial or business affairs
of any particular person (including the authority holding that
information).

Cabinet
a)   
Agreed the terms of disposal of the land, as set out
in Appendix C to the report in advance of it coming into South
Cambridgeshire District Council’s possession.
b)   
Agreed to open a 12-month faith/community land at
Northstowe bidding process in January
2025.
c)   
Noted that a report would be presented to Cabinet
following the conclusion of the faith/community land bidding
process for a decision on disposal of the land, following
assessment of bids against the agreed allocation policy by an
officer panel.
d)   
Noted that following the conclusion of the
faith/community land allocation process, the Council would be
required to apply to the Secretary of State for consent to dispose
of the land for less than best consideration.
