The Spatial Planning Committee is the parent committee responsible for South Gloucestershire's town and country planning and development management functions. It generally meets annually and serves as the body from which members are drawn to form sub-committees. These sub-committees, the Development Management Committee and the Strategic Sites Delivery Committee, handle specific planning and related applications. The Spatial Planning Committee also provides views on spatial planning policy when requested by the Cabinet or Executive Member for Planning, Transport and Strategic Environment.
