About

The South Hams Licensing Committee, composed of ten District Councillors, is responsible for overseeing the Council's licensing functions. It determines applications for various licences, including those for alcohol, premises, Hackney carriage and private hire vehicles, street trading, and zoos. Members of the public can participate by speaking in support of or objecting to licence applications. A Licensing Sub-Committee, made up of any three members of the full committee, meets as needed to decide on licences for alcohol, entertainment, and other areas.
