About
The Salcombe Harbour Board is responsible for the improvement, maintenance, and management of the Salcombe-Kingsbridge Estuary. Its primary function is to benefit estuary users, including local fishermen, residents, and visitors, by balancing commercial interests with the conservation and protection of the estuarine environment.
The Board comprises ten members, with four being District Councillors and six co-opted members appointed on a fit-for-purpose basis. It also appoints representatives to serve on various Harbour Community Forums.
