To acknowledge and accept the
grant allocation; update budgets and put in place the necessary
arrangements for the grant to be spent.

Decision

The £5,732,724
grant allocation and necessary match funding is
acknowledged.
The grant allocation
is accepted and the associated spend and delivery outcomes are
authorised.

Assistant Director – Housing will enter into
any contracts or funding agreements necessary to enable delivery of
the project

Reasons for the decision

1.   
To enable the grant allocation to be accepted, the
project to be delivered, and the benefits realised.

2.   
To authorise the Assistant Director – Housing
to enter into necessary grant funding agreements and other
contracts to enable the works on the properties

Alternative options considered

Do nothing – In this
event the grant would not be accepted and SHDC would not receive
the £5.7m contribution towards improving the energy
efficiency of the existing housing stock. SHDC would have to meet
the Government target relating to social housing stock achieving at
least an EPC C rating by 2030, without this grant
funding.
