Purpose
To approve a funding award of £157,025 to Didcot Town Council for accessibility improvements to Ladygrove Lakes and Mounds, and Millennium Woods through the council’s pilot CIL grant scheme and to release the approved funding subject to a third-party funding agreement.
Decision
To approve the use of £157,025 from the South Oxfordshire District Council’s pilot Community Infrastructure Levy Grant Scheme, as set out in the Council’s 2023/24 capital budget.
1) To approve the request from Didcot Town Council for £157,025 towards the new pathways project at Ladygrove lake and mounds and at Millennium Wood.
2) To transfer £157,025 from the provisional capital budget of £750,000 (scheme number 395) to the approved capital programme.
3) Delegate to officers to enter into a funding agreement with Didcot Town Council that governs the release of funds and sets out project monitoring and claw back clauses.
To release funds to Didcot Town Council, in total as one payment, in accordance with the funding agreement on receipt of the signed and sealed legal agreement.
