Purpose

To approve a funding award of £165,000
to Wallingford Sports Trust for All Weather Pitch resurfacing,
replacement of shock pad and development of multi use games area
through the council’s pilot CIL grant scheme and to release
the approved funding subject to a third-party funding
agreement.

Decision

To
approve the use of £165,000 from the South Oxfordshire
District Council’s pilot Community Infrastructure Levy Grant
Scheme, as set out in the Council’s 2023/24 capital
budget.
 

1)   
To approve the request from Wallingford Sports Trust
for £165,000 towards resurfacing and replacement of the
all-weather pitch (AWP) ‘shock pad’ and development of
MUGA adjacent to the AWP, at Wallingford Sports Park.

 

2)   
To transfer £165,000 from the provisional
capital budget of £750,000 (scheme number 395) to the
approved capital programme.
 

3)   
Delegate to officers to enter into a funding
agreement with Wallingford Sports Trust that governs the release of
funds and sets out project monitoring and claw back
clauses.
 

4)   
To release funds to Wallingford Sports Trust, in
total as one payment, in accordance with the funding agreement on
receipt of the signed and sealed legal agreement.
