Purpose

(This decision is likely to be a partially exempt decision under paragraph 3 to Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972)

To agree the corporate position for Berinsfield Garden Village and endorse the draft Berinsfield Regeneration Strategy, with delegation to finalise and adopt the strategy.

Decision

RESOLVED: That Cabinet:

a)    Agree the corporate position for Berinsfield Garden Village set out in the report;

b)    Endorse the draft Berinsfield Garden Village Regeneration Strategy as the council’s corporate regeneration framework for Berinsfield;

c)     Delegate authority to the Deputy Chief Executive – Place, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning Policy (including Garden Comunities) and Climate Action, to amend the draft Strategy as required in response to the Joint Local Plan 2041 (JLP1) examination, development in Local Government Reorganisation, and engagement with relevant partners, any shadow and successor authorities and any development corporation (should one be established); and

d)    Delegate authority to the Cabinet Member for Planning Policy (including Garden Communities) and Climate Action to approve and adopt the final Berinsfield Garden Village Regeneration Strategy as a corporate strategy document.
