Decision

RESOLVED that the Board:

1. Approved the progression of “Northern Local Centre Improvement” to post Outline Business Case (OBC) in-principle approval and award of £11.65m grant to City of Doncaster Council, subject to the conditions set out in Assurance Summary A.
2. Approved the progression of “AMRC Start-up" to full approval and award of £2m grant, to the University of Sheffield, subject to the conditions set out in Assurance Summary B
3. Endorsed the submission of a proposal of to DWP for “Apprenticeship Brokerage Pilot” and delegate authority to the Executive Director of Growth, Business and Skills, in consultation with the Section 73 and Monitoring Officer to accept and onward award any subsequent grant as detailed in section 2.1
4. Approved delegated authority to the Executive Director of Growth, Business and Skills, in consultation with the Section 73 and Monitoring Officer for consideration of the following:

1. Approved the acceptance and onward award of £0.48m revenue grant from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for the “Free Courses for Jobs in engineering, clean energy and advanced manufacturing” programme as detailed in section 2.1

1. Approved the acceptance of £0.17m “Regional Investment Framework (RIF) revenue grant” from the Office of Investment as detailed in section 2.1
2. Approved delegated authority to the Head of Paid Service in consultation with the Section 73 and Monitoring Officer to enter into legal agreements for the points above
