Purpose

Since the beginning of January, Sean Dyball and Karl McDonald from Network for Skills has been supporting the Bus Franchising Citizen Experience workstream. In that time, we have made significant progress. To maintain momentum and continue delivering across operator procurement, service design and transitioning into delivery of services whilst we progress an in-house role through recruitment, we are extending our contract with Network for Skills by an extra two months to the end of December. This will include support from Sean as well as other colleagues as required.

Decision

The decision is to extend the current contract by 45 days, at a cost of £785 per day.

Including the 3.5% Consultancy+ fee, this comes to £36,561.38.

This brings the total contract value, including Consultancy+ fee, to £188,471.88.
 

Alternative options considered

1. Do nothing – stick to current in-house resource and risk workstream delivery.
2. Extend contract with Network for Skills through Consultancy+ to ensure continued progress during the period of recruitment for future in-house resource.
