The Standards Sub-Committee assesses allegations that councillors or co-opted members have breached the Members' Code of Conduct, as required by the Localism Act 2011. It can administer sanctions if a breach is found. The committee also grants dispensations to members under the same Act. This includes former independent members of the Governance Committee and Church and Parent Governor representatives. The sub-committee meets when necessary.
