Purpose

To consider the report of the Cabinet Member
for Finance and Resources providing an update on the Council's
financial position for 2025/26.

Decision

Cabinet is recommended to:
 
(i) 
Note the latest forecast financial position as set out in Appendix
1.
(ii) 
Note the transfer of £0.58M budget from Highways Contracts to
Planning as part of a deficit recovery plan, as set out at
paragraph 5.

Reasons for the decision

To ensure that Cabinet fulfils its
responsibilities for the overall financial management of the
council’s resources.
