Purpose

To consider the report of the Cabinet Member
seeking the adoption of the Vehicle Removals Policy and associated
processes

Decision

(i)  To adopt the Vehicle
Removals Policy 2023.
(ii)  To delegate
authority to the Executive Director Growth following consultation
with the Director Legal, Governance and HR to do anything necessary
to implement the contents of the Vehicle Removals Policy 2023
including but not limited to entering
into contracts for the removal of vehicles and amending
Traffic and other Orders as required.

Reasons for the decision

To enable the Council to resolve sustained
obstructions of the public highway.

Alternative options considered

To enable the Council to address persistent
evaders of Penalty Charge Notices.
