Appeals Committee

The Appeals Committee considers written appeals against council decisions, as established under the Local Government Act 1972. It handles appeals from parents, carers, and students regarding the refusal of free pupil transport. The committee also determines appeals from students against decisions to refuse applications for Discretionary Awards and Standards Fund Awards. Additionally, it addresses other appeals where no other committee or officer is designated to make a determination.
