Purpose
To approve approve eight community partner grants for 2024-25 to support
delivery of the Sustainable Food Strategy.
Decision
1.
That the eight community partner grants for 2024-25 to support
delivery of the Sustainable Food Strategy up to a total of
£125,349 as set out in paragraphs 10-13 of the report,
be approved.
2.
That it be noted that the proposed grants will help implement the
Sustainable Food Strategy objectives including: a good food
partnership, strong and connected communities, food security and
the Right to Food, healthy people, healthy planet and a good food
economy and affordable food offer.

That it be noted that
a proportion of the
proposed grants (40% at minimum) will fund food-related support for
older adults, a key target group of the Sustainable Food Strategy.
The following organisations will deliver food
support for older adults: Kingswood Arts, Peckham Soup Kitchen,
RJ4ALL, Time & Talents and Spring Community
Hub.
