Decision

1. 
That the Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets and
Waste (“Cabinet Member”):

i. 
Approves the introduction of
five bookable loading bays on Walworth Road as shown in the drawing
at Appendix 1 and Table 1 of the report.

ii. 
Instructs officers to implement
the loading bays by way of permanent Traffic Management Orders
(“TMOs”) made under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 124 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“1984 Act”), subject
to statutory consultation carried out in accordance with the Local
Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 (“1996 Regulations”).

iii. 
Notes that officers will
present a further report to the Cabinet Member should the council
receive any objections (that are not subsequently withdrawn) during
statutory consultation.

iv. 
Authorises officers to take
steps to hold a public inquiry pursuant to regulation 9(1) of the
1996 Regulations in relation to the proposed TMOs where considered
expedient to do so.

v. 
Considered the EINA located at
Appendix 2 and the equalities assessment set out in this report in
accordance with the council’s Public Sector Equality Duty
(“PSED”).
