Purpose
Contract extension with Silk and Mackman
Services Ltd
Decision
That the Strategic
Director of Resources;
1.
Approves the variation of the Door
Entry and Warden Call contract with Silk and Mackman Services Ltd
to extend the term of the contract for an additional period of 10
months from 1 February 2025 to 30 November 2025 at an estimated
additional cost of £1.569m making a total revised estimated
contract value of £9.404m.
2.
Notes the change of the procurement
route for the Door Entry and Warden Call contract from a restricted
procedure to a mini-competition via an external framework to ensure
a new contract is in place by 1 December 2025 to align with the end
of this contract (once extended).
3.
Notes that the annual Building
Maintenance Index (BMI) rise, which was due in April 2024, was
not applied to the contract as agreed in principle with Silk
and Mackman Services Ltd and this will be evidenced in a deed of
variation for this extension.
