Purpose

Approval for the procurement of
the delivery care services in Flexi Care housing

Decision

 
 
1. 
That in consultation with the cabinet member for health and
wellbeing and the cabinet member for new homes and sustainable
development, the outcome of the insourcing investigation be noted
and that the proposal to strategically commission all four current
and pending flexi-care schemes in Southwark, as detailed in
paragraph 2 of the report, be approved and that partial insourcing
as detailed in paragraph 3 of the report be approved.
 
2. 
That in consultation with the cabinet member for health and
wellbeing and the cabinet member for new homes and sustainable
development, the procurement approach set out in this report, for a
period of five years from July 2025, at an estimated maximum annual
cost of £4 million and an estimated total cost of £20
million, be approved.
 
3. 
That the partial insourcing of the social inclusion function by
creating a post known as a community coordinator, which will report
via the adult social care directorate, be approved.
