Purpose
To consider and determine the
objections received.
Decision
1.
That the two
representations received, as summarised in Table One, during the
statutory consultation for traffic order ‘TMO2223-039
Valentine/Baron’ relating to the proposal to make permanent
the highway restriction of a no right turn from Valentine Place to
Webber Street and one way northbound on Baron’s Place which
was previously implemented by way of an Experimental Traffic
Management Order (“ETMO”), be considered.
2.
That each objection and comments as per
the table prepared by officers in Appendix 1 be considered and
determined, and that the comments made online in Appendix 2 be
noted.
3.
That officers be instructed to write to
each person who made representations to inform them of the
council’s decision.
4.
That officers be instructed to make the
necessary Traffic Management Order(s) (TMO) to implement the
proposal on a permanent basis.
5.
That it be noted
that the scheme supports the council’s Streets for People
aspirations and aims to reduce through traffic in this central
area.
