Purpose

To consider any objections

Decision

1.
That the objection
made during statutory consultation to the installation of a timed
school street closure on Woods Road, Colmore Mews and Burchell Road
and the officer response be considered and determined.

2.
That officers be
instructed to write to the objector with the outcome of this
consideration and determination;

3.
That officers be
instructed to proceed with the implementation of the timed School
Street closure on Woods Road, Colmore Mews and Burchell Road;
and

4.
That officers be
instructed to make the necessary Traffic Management Order
(“TMO”) in accordance with sections 6 and 124 of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“1984 Act”) and the
Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 (“1996 Regulations”).

5.
That it be approved
that officers recommend that the Council exercise its discretion to
not cause a public inquiry to be called on account of:
•   The effect of the
order,
•   The wider support for
the project,
•   That the project will
contribute towards achieving several of its Street
  for People
policy objectives
•   The small number of
objections and,
•   That holding a public
inquiry would lead to expense and delay while
  being unlikely to
alter the ultimate decision.
