Purpose

Introduce a controlled
pedestrian crossing between the school sites on Deans
Building

Decision

That the proposals for a raised table and
controlled pedestrian crossing as detailed in the appendices to
this report and summarised in
paragraph 13, to
be implemented under the relevant powers of the Highways Act 1980
(“1980 Act”) and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(“1984 Act”) be approved, subject to the outcome of any
necessary statutory consultation and procedures.

 

That officers be instructed to make the necessary
Traffic Management Orders (“TMOs”) in accordance with
sections 6 and 124 of the 1984 Act subject to statutory
consultation carried out pursuant to the Local Authorities Traffic
Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996
(“1996 Regulations”).

 

That officers be instructed to carry out the
necessary consultation for the raised table forming part of the
English Martyrs Primary School (Deans Buildings) proposal in
accordance with the 1980 Act and the Highway (Road Humps)
Regulations 1999.

 

That it be noted that in the event objections to
the TMOs or raised table proposal at English Martyrs Primary School
(Deans Buildings) are received following statutory consultation, a
further report will be presented to the Cabinet Member for
determination.
