Decision

That:
 
1. 
The School Street proposal detailed in the design
drawing to this report and summarised in paragraph 13 implemented
by way of powers under the Highways Act 1980 (“1980
Act”), the Road Traffic Regulation Act (“1984
Act”), and orders made under 1984 Act, subject to the outcome
of any necessary statutory consultation and procedures be approved
by the Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets &
Waste.
 
2. 
Officers be instructed to make the necessary Traffic
Management Orders (“TMOs”) in accordance with sections 6 and 124 of the 1984 Act
subject to statutory consultation carried out pursuant to the Local
Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 (“1996 Regulations”), by the
Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets &
Waste.
 
3. 
Officers be instructed to carry out the necessary
statutory consultation for the proposed School Street at Rye Oak
Primary School in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 and all relevant statutory requirements, by the
Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets &
Waste.
 
4. 
It be noted that in the event
objections to the Traffic Management Orders (TMOs) for the proposed
School Street at Rye Oak Primary School are received following
statutory consultation, a further report will be presented to the
Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets & Waste
for determination.
