Purpose

To award the contract to
appoint a contractor to undertake retrofit design work on leisure
centres

Decision

That:
 
1. 
The award of the Leisure Centres Decarbonisation
Designs contract to Eddisons to the sum
of £1,081,972.25. This sum will cover design through to RIBA
4 (detailed design and technical specification) as well as
associated design oversight and quality assurance through the
installation and delivery period, to practical completion be
approved by the Strategic Director of Environment, Sustainability
and Leisure.
 
2. 
The associated variation to the scope of works from
that noted at Gateway 1, to cover more phases of the project in
order to derisk the programme (a variation that occurred based on
additional professional advice which the Gateway 1 agreed to seek,
and before the tender process took place) be noted and approved by
the Strategic Director of Environment, Sustainability and
Leisure.
