Purpose

Approve the contract award for
a new contractor to take the Fendall & Maltby new homes project
to completion

Decision

 
1. 
That the award for the works contract for the two sites at Fendall
Street and Maltby Street to Bloom Construction Group Limited
(Bloom) for the sum of £2.67m commencing on the 15 October
2025 for a construction period of 30 weeks to 6 May 2026, be
approved.
 
2. 
That it be noted that the revised estimated total
scheme cost will be £17m including on costs, £2m above
the existing budget for this scheme.
 
3. 
That it be noted that there is a performance bond in
relation to the original works contract with ARJ Construction
Limited of £1.3m to call upon on completion of the project,
as set out in the Gateway 1 report.
