Purpose

That officers be instructed to publish an Experiential Traffic Management Order (“ETMO”) for the implementation of road safety measures which includes footway widening, raised crossings, safety bollards, and changes to loading and parking on Bedale Street, Cathedral Street, Stoney Street and Park Street. The above scheme would be implemented under the provisions of sections 6, 9, 122 and 124, Schedule 1 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act (“RTRA”) 1984 and of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (“the 1996 Regulations”), Regulation 22.
