Decision

That the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member
for Children, Education & Refugees

Approves the proposed model whereby United
St Saviours will manage the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS)
Borough of Sanctuary grant funding for years 2, 3, and 4
(2025-2028) on behalf of Southwark Council. United St Saviours will
consider providing additional funding to support the initiative,
though no firm commitment can be made at this time.
Notes that one key
benefit of management by United St Saviours is that the Council can
access trust-based grant-making, empowering organisations
supporting refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers with flexible,
inclusive management. United St Saviours will not charge management
fees on this occasion.
Notes that the total commitment of
£300,000(£100,000 per annum for three years) will
continue to be met by existing government grants allocated to the
Council.
