Decision

That the Cabinet Member for
Climate Emergency, Jobs & Transport:
 
1. 
Consider and determine the one
objection made during statutory consultation to the installation of
the raised zebra crossing and the officer response;
 
2. 
Instructs officers to write to
the objectors with the outcome of this consideration and
determination;
 
3. 
Instructs officers to proceed
with the implementation of raised zebra crossing on Grove Lane to
improve crossing facilities, and to build out the footway resulting
in road narrowing, thus reducing traffic speed and increasing
safety for all road users; and;
 
4. 
Instructs officers to make the
necessary Traffic Management Order (“TMO”) in
accordance with sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 (“1984 Act”) and the Local
Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 (“1996 Regulations”).
 
5. 
Authorises officers to proceed
to make the TMOs without a public inquiry pursuant to regulation 9
of the 1996 Regulations.
