Purpose

Approval of the variation to extend the existing Housing Aids and Adaptations

Decision

1. That the variation of Contract A for Housing Aids and Adaptation with Property Facilities Group Ltd. (PFG), to extend the contract term by a maximum additional period of five-months from 1 August 2026 to 31 December 2026 at an estimated additional cost of £350k making a total revised estimated contract value of £2.721m, be approved.

1. That the variation of Contract B for Housing Aids and Adaptation with Spokemead Maintenance Ltd. (Spokemead), to extend the contract by a maximum additional period of five-months from 1 August 2026 to 31 December 2026 at an estimated additional cost of £300k making a total revised estimated contract value of £2.365m, be approved.

1. That it be noted that the PFG and Spokemead will act as backup contractors to each other on each of their respective tendered rates, as required.

1. That the annual Building Maintenance Indices (BMI) rise, which was due in April 2026, will be applied to both Contracts A and B contracts as agreed in principle with PFG and Spokemead and is reflected in the additional sums set out above, be noted.
