The Leader of the Council approved the creation of permanent posts for Director of Law and Governance and Director of Climate Change and Environment on 8 July 2026. This decision also noted the deletion of three existing senior management posts, resulting in a net reduction to senior management costs. The Appointments Committee will select a candidate for Director of Law and Governance, and the Strategic Director of Environment, Sustainability and Leisure will lead recruitment for the Director of Climate Change and Environment.

The Strategic Director of Resources approved the award of a Design and Build Contract for Peckham Rye Station Square Phase 2 & 3 to BAM Nuttall Ltd for £7,815,958.34 on 3 July 2026. This contract is for a period of 15 months commencing in July 2026.

The Strategic Director of Resources approved variations to Communal Lighting and Electrical Testing Contracts A and B on 14 July 2026. Contract A with BCS Electrical and Building Ltd. will be extended for eight months at an estimated cost of £5.8m, and Contract B with Spokemead Maintenance Ltd. will be extended for eight months at an estimated cost of £7.27m. The annual Building Maintenance Indices uplift has been applied to both contracts.
