Purpose
To consider objections to
proposals to install 20 new cycle hangars at various
locations.
Decision
That:
i.
The two ojections as
summarised in Appendix 2 received during statutory consultation
relating to the proposals to install 20 new cycle hangars,
providing 120 secure bicycle storage spaces at the various
locations listed in Table 1 be considered by the Cabinet Member for
Clean Air, Streets & Waste.
ii.
The officers response to
the objections and the subsequent amendments as set out in Appendix
2 be considered by the Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets &
Waste.
iii.
Officers be instructed by the Cabinet Member for
Clean Air, Streets & Waste to make the necessary Traffic
Management Orders (“TMO”) to removing parking bays and
lay new double yellow lines in order to install the cycle hangars
at the various locations in accordance with sections 6 and 124 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“1984 Act”) and
the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) England and Wales)
regulations 1996 (“1996 Regulations”).
iv.
Discretion exercised by officers as to whether or
not to hold a public enquiry in respect of the objections pursuant
to Regulation 9 (1) o the 1996 Regulations be authorised by the
Cabinet Member for Clean Air, Streets & Waste.
