Purpose

To approve new funding for
voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations to apply for
revenue grants in order to deliver community sport and physical
activity in Southwark for residents.

Decision

1. 
That new funding for
voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations to apply for revenue grants in order
to deliver community sport and physical activity in Southwark for
residents in this Olympic year – building on the current
investment through the Active Southwark Legacy capital fund –
be approved.
 
2. 
That the total funding
amount will be £200,000 – a summary of the scheme is
included in paragraphs 18-24 of the report.
