Purpose

To consider commencement of a competitive exercise to identify a preferred community-led housing partner for the delivery of affordable housing on the site currently occupied by garages within the New James Court Estate.

Decision

That:

1. The commencement of a competitive exercise to identify a preferred community-led housing pargnet for the delivery of affordable housing on the site currently occupied by garages within the New James Court Estate, site identified on the report at Appendix 1, be approved by the Cabinet Member for New Homes and Sustainable Development.
2. The draft brief for the opportunity as set out on the report at Appendix 2 be approved by the Cabinet Member for New Homes and Sustainable Development.
3. A report to be taken to Cabinet following completion of the competitive process and following selection of the preferred partner seeking approval for the disposal of land, including commencement of a decant process of the garages be noted by the Cabinet Member for New Homes and Sustainable Development.
