Purpose

At their meeting on 27 February 2024, the
Environment and Sustainability Committee established the Spelthorne
Design Code Task Group to guide future development in Spelthorne.
On 18 June 2024, the Environment and Sustainability Committee
agreed to delegate authority to make decisions at 'gateway' points
to the Group Head for Place, Protection and Prosperity in
consultation with the Chair of the Environment and Sustainability
Committee. The Design Code Task Group agreed the Shared Definition
of Design Code, and this decision gateway was signed off by the
Group Head - Place Protection and Prosperity on consultation with
the Chair of the Environment and Sustainability Committee.
