The Committee considered a report from the
Monitoring Officer that sought approval to adopt the Regulation of
Investigatory Powers Act Policy (RIPA Policy).
 
The Committee asked for the number of cases in
the past 4 years that have fallen under this Act. The Group Head
Corporate Governance advised that these figures would be presented
to the Audit Committee.
 
The Committee resolved to adopt the
RIPA Policy and delegate to the Group Head of Corporate Governance
to keep the Policy under regular review and update the Audit
Committee on any updates to the Policy and use of the power
thereunder.
