About

The Staffordshire Health and Wellbeing Board brings together leaders from the council, NHS, and partner organisations to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities for people in Staffordshire. The Board is responsible for producing a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment to identify population health needs and agreeing a Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy to set priorities for improvement. It also promotes integrated working between local authorities and the NHS, supports partnership arrangements including joint commissioning, and approves Better Care Fund Plans. The Board also publishes a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment and is expected to lead the development of neighbourhood health plans.
