To proceed to contract award on a local
service tender. Summary details are as follows:

• Tender LS0031 Stafford - Lichfield local bus service
enhancements to add a Sunday service.
• Funding entirely from existing Staffordshire County Council
budget
• Contract is for 2 years.
• Tender was for 100% price.
• 4 bids were received: Carolean Coaches Ltd, Chaserider Buses
Ltd, Diamond Bus (East Midlands) Ltd, and West Midlands Travel Ltd.
Chaserider submitted both Gross and Net bids, the remainder were
Net.
• Chaserider bid was for £117237.50 over 113 operating
days and was awarded as best price bid. The net price was selected
as this gives an operator more incentive to try and grow the
business.
