Purpose

The annual report on the work the council has
undertaken with stakeholders to support the
borough’s armed forces community.

Decision

The Cabinet has
considered a report setting out the council's annual report on the
work it has undertaken with stakeholders to continue to support the
borough’s armed forces community and has agreed to note and
endorse the report.

Alternative options considered

The option of not
preparing an annual report on the council’s commitment to its
Armed Forces Covenant would be a breach of that covenant and the
Covenant is now embedded in law.
