The Werneth Area Committee approved proposals for traffic calming measures on Werneth Road, Woodley, on 04/03/2024. The decision included the introduction of a Vehicular Activated Sign and additional road markings at a cost of £6,000. This will be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget for the Bredbury and Woodley ward.

The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways and Transport Services approved the legal advertising of a Traffic Regulation Order for a Residents Parking Permit Scheme on Moss Lane, Bramhall, on 13/03/2024. The scheme will change the existing free residents parking to a paid scheme, with eligible properties receiving two annual resident permits and one visitor permit.

The Central Stockport Area Committee recommended that the Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways and Transport Services approve designs for the CRSTS Greek Street (Edgeley Active Travel) scheme on 07/03/2024. The scheme aims to improve walking and cycling routes around the Greek Street roundabout. This includes a segregated pedestrian and cycle route along Moseley Street, reversal of the one-way system on Moseley Street, and provision of a southbound contraflow cycle lane along Newton Street.
