The Area Committee has given approval to the legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order set out in Appendix A and shown on Drawing No. 0305/69/MV/002 of the report, and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders to be funded from the Road Safety around Schools programme budget allocation.
· Introduction of School Keep Clear Markings on Valley Road on approach to the school entrance (Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm) east side only.
· Introduction of No Loading to the existing No Waiting at Times Shown restrictions (Single Yellow Lines) (to apply Monday to Friday 8.30am - 9.30am and 2.30pm -3.30pm), on Valley Road between Ravenswood Avenue and Sherwood Avenue, and continuing along the western side of Valley Road past Ravenswood Avenue.
· Introduction of No Waiting at Any time restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) with No loading (Monday to Friday 8.30 – 9.30am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm), at the junction of The Glade, Ravenswood Avenue, Sherwood Avenue and Larwood Avenue to keep the junctions clear of parked vehicles, protecting intervisibility between pedestrians and motorists whilst also ensuring vehicles can negotiate the junctions safely.
· Provision of uncontrolled crossing points on Valley Road both within in the School Keep Clear markings opposite the junctions of Ravenswood Avenue and to the right of Sherwood Avenue together with pencil bollards to aid pedestrians.
· Provision of an uncontrolled crossing point over Ravenswood Avenue junction together with pencil bollards to aid pedestrians.
· Provision of the two new School Warning Signs; one on Larwood Avenue and one on Furness Grove to the East.
· Introduction of Access Protection Markings (H-bars) for a number of properties along Valley Road and Furness Grove.
