Decision

On 24 June 2025, the Cabinet gave approval to the making of a Compulsory Purchase Order in respect of 72/ 74 Wellington Road South, Stockport and delegated authority to the Assistant Director for Governance to take all necessary steps to bring the Order into operation such that the Council’s powers of compulsory acquisition, as secured by the Order, are exercised, and possession of the Order Land taken (including the making and service of one or more General Vesting Declarations).

The Chief Governance Officer & Monitoring Officer, in exercise of this delegated authority, has now given approval to the making and serving a General Vesting Declaration in respect of 72/74 Wellington Road South, Stockport on the terms and basis detailed in the ‘not for publication’ report.
