The Central Stockport Area Committee considered the proposals at its meeting on 18 June 2026 and agreed that the recommendations should be adopted.

Alternative options considered

An alternative solution available would be to amend the proposals to providing restrictions on workdays only however with the potential for parking issues on Stockport County matchdays and general weekend commuter parking this could still cause issues for the resident affected.
