The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has considered an objection received to the proposed introduction of a ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Order on Hibbert Lane, Marple and has agreed that, notwithstanding the objection, the Order be made as advertised.

The Marple Area Committee considered the proposals at its meeting on 17 June 2026 and agreed that the recommendations should be adopted.

Alternative options considered

The alternative to the proposals laid out in this report is to continue with the current lack of restriction on the highway by not introducing the proposed traffic regulation orders.
